Dumb Days

He was Mister culture clash, rash and rabid.

The times, they were so exciting!

She was calm and cool, nobody's fool, just a few fun foibles or two.

They said "I do" and loved to make love and lasagna.

Then craft got on the loose, pie crust turned to rust, and the rooster thought he knew it all.

Good times turned to bad, bad to sad.

Then somewhere under a bridge a snake coiled, struck culture and cool with exorbitant cost, meaning all was lost at the last; only tension and the past tense now.

No fun under the sun, only dumb days dazed on rum.
